PLEASE VOTE MARK PHILLIPS
Mark has lived in Ipswich all of his life. He attended the Woolwich Barracks Royal Garrison Chapel when he was an undergraduate at the University of Greenwich in South London. He has worked in the social care sector since 2007. He has long been involved in membership and voluntary roles in community groups. He currently supports a local Salvation Army community centre with voluntary tasks and outreach work.
He attends church every week in Ipswich and believes in helping those most in need in our community. If elected, he would be willing to help out Whitehouse residents with the variety of challenges that residents face locally.
Mark's employer's HQ is in Whitehouse, and as he does part-time hours, he would be able to devote time to local residents.
He has also worked in adminstration in mental health and substance misuse charities.
As Mark's brother is also a Borough Councillor in Bixley Ward, he understands the workload involved, having attended a number of public events over the years such as Civic Services and Remembrance Sunday services, and would be excited to be elected to Whitehouse Ward.
Mark’s priorities for Whitehouse⇒
- Improved Community Engagement with the many local groups set up to help those in need
- Better facilities in our parks and green spaces
- Tackling the problem of speeding and illegal parking across our area.
