Alan Road Traffic Survey

pippa

Concerns have been raised about the speed of traffic on Alan Road with Cllr Philippa Gordon-Gould and Tom Hunt MP about the speed of traffic on Alan Road and the hazard that poses for young children as well as to other cars parked on the road.

Philppa has written to residents to say "For this reason, I am conducting a residents’ survey to find out what type of solution might be most acceptable to most people.  I have been advised that although a road closure might be popular amongst some, it may be difficult to pass through council on the basis that those living in surrounding roads would be negatively impacted by creating a greater volume of traffic there.

"Please would you consider some of the other strategies presented by completing the survey below by the end of October 2023.

"Results of the survey will be posted to you individually.  Any majority agreement will be forwarded, as evidence of a request by the residents, to Suffolk highways department."
