Bixley Councillors have continued to keep the pressure on the Ipswich Hospital Trust to improve on their increasingly “neighbourly” attitude toward our local residents.

Following a meeting Associate Director of Estates, Mike Ralph said, “I am sure that together we can make a positive difference and be a good neighbour to our residents.”

Some useful changes that have been agreed include:

·         Reduced parking payment levels for part-time staff

·         Trialling Free 30 minute ‘Drop Off’ zones

·         Removal of ‘On Call’ reserved spaces to increase parking provision

·         New configuration providing more spaces

·         Increase in cycle storage and on site showering provision

·         Review of bus service information and promotion of park and ride.

If you have problems with hospital staff parking in your residential street, please call the hospital’s new parking hotline 702451.
