Liz says "It has been a great pleasure to represent the residents of the Gainsborough Division on Suffolk County Council over the last five years. It was also a particular privilege to serve as Chairman of the County Council — something I never expected and thoroughly enjoyed.
"I will greatly miss my connection with residents and the many groups and organisations I have had the pleasure of working with during my time as a County Councillor.
"I would like to wish Cllr Ryan Procter every success as he takes on the responsibility of serving what I still believe is the very best ward in Ipswich."
