My hair has become increasingly ridiculous over the past few weeks. The situation is unsustainable. Therefore I have decided to shave it off for a good cause. The clippers have been ordered and will be with me soon.

I will be raising money for Age UK Suffolk. Never have they been more needed as an organisation. They have provided invaluable support to elderly members of our community over the past few months and they really need and deserve all the support we're able to offer.

Please do donate what you can. Please follow the link to donate: -

Age UK Suffolk are doing some excellent work supporting the elderly in our Town during the pandemic including through their Good Day Calls Campaign which reaches out to those who are isolated or are in need of food and other essentials. I hope that by braving the shave, I can do what I can to raise money for this important cause. Hundreds of calls have been made through the Good Day Calls Campaign so far and it would be great if shaving my hair could allow for more calls to happen.

I’ve been in close contact with Age UK Suffolk throughout this Covid-19 outbreak, including around establishing Talks with Tom where anyone in Ipswich who needs a chat can talk to me. Talks with Tom is now going strongly and I’ve spoken to a number of people across the Town about all kinds of issues. Talks with Tom remains open to anyone who would like a chat and if you email: [email protected] my Office will be happy for us to arrange a time for us to chat, and of course, views on my new haircut will be on the table as a topic of conversation.
