wages

Here in Ipswich, the number of people claiming the key out of work benefits has fallen by 1536, – a 49% per cent drop – since 2010.

New figures show that more people are in work than ever before, with 3,060,672 people in work in the eastern region, an increase of 316,000 more people in work since 2010.

We welcome these new figures, which also show that the level of people out of work is at its lowest level in over 40 years, and the number of young people out of work is down by nearly 408,000 since 2010.

Mr Corbyn's local represenatives don't want you to know any of this, and their sole plan is to make everyone feel down-beaten and miserable. Their reckless plans for the economy would put all these new jobs at risk. The reality is that with Conservatives in government, more Ipswich people have the security of a job and are able to provide for their families. With wages rising faster than prices, your pay can go further. We know there is more to do. That’s why the government has launched its modern Industrial Strategy, to help build an economy fit for the future and deliver more well-paid jobs.

Only the Conservatives are trusted to deliver an economy fit for all, and here in Ipswich we will do our utmost to support the government.
