Tom's thoughts from the campaign trail

Since the 1st of November I have spoken to over 8,000 individuals from all across the town. Many of these people have been life long traditional Labour Party voters and they feel they have been betrayed by the party they have supported for so long.

It is clear that Labour's botched Brexit policy of Remain v Remain on a ballot paper is a betrayal of the 2016 referendum.

These voters want Brexit done but most importantly, they want the original result respected. They want a government that is tough on crime, controls immigration with a fair inclusive system and invests in our NHS. This time many traditional Labour supporters are pledging to vote Conservative for this very reason.
