Toilets on the Waterfront

Cllr Liz Harsant recently raised her concerns to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee about the fact that there are no public toliets on the Ipswich Waterfront. The waterfront is seen to be the 'jewel in the crown' of Ipswich's redevelopment but without any public toilets many people may be put off from visiting, especially the elderly and families with children. At present people have to rely on the good will of local cafes and businesses to allow them to use their toilets but this is not sustainable. The Ipswich Conservatives are now strongly calling for the council to install public toilets in this area.
