It is with the deepest regret that we mourn the passing of Robin Vickery, a friend to many of us in the Conservative family. Robin served the people of Ipswich in his roles as an elected Borough & County Councillor, and also as Chairman of the Ipswich Branch of the Royal British Legion. Robin was a great community champion for North Ipswich, his dedication to helping others was an inspiration, and he initiated many projects that are still actively helping people to this day.

Cllr Ian Fisher, Conservative Group leader, says "On a personal note, Robin was instrumental to my own journey into politics. I was proudly elected alongside Robin to serve the residents of Castle Hill Ward and learnt a great deal from his calm and reassuring manner. Robin will be missed, but fondly remembered, by us all."
