bin

Residents in the Woodbridge Road area near the Kindergarten on the corner of Jupiter Road, contacted Bixley Councillor Eddy Phillips, to advise that a lot of dog waste was being dumped in bags alongside the hedges and fence, putting children's health at risk.

Eddy spoke to the council's waste department, who agreed to monitor the area, and installed a brand new waste bin.

Eddy said "Whilst it is extremely unlikely any of the dog owners who drop their doggy bags on the footpath, will be observed in action, now there is a nearby bin, hopefully this will go some way to keeping the area clean. It is irresponsible to drop dog waste anywhere on paths, especially when children are nearby at the kindergarten. Please use the bin !"
