Labour Axes your Polling Station

Resident’s enthusiasm for pursuing their right to vote has been drastically affected by Labour’s decision to close one of your polling stations. The proposal to close the Broke Hall School polling station was upheld, despite strong representations by Cllrs Stroet and  Carnall.

During our consultation with residents affected by the change, it was found that not one was in favour. Labour claim they are trying to take decision-making closer to the people and listen to resident’s views. Sadly that doesn’t appear to include the people of Bixley.

However, if you were one of the staunch Bixley residents who waded through flood water to cast your vote at Copelston HS, do not fear. Your councillors have no intention of letting this subject rest. We will continue to fight this undemocratic Labour administration to have our polling station re-opened.
