Ipswich Station has won Large Station of the Year Award at the National Rail Awards Ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The station had £2m of major refurbishments last year, with a complete modern re-design of the interior and exterior, which was completed in 2017. This project proceeded, partly due to our former Conservative MP Ben Gummer's determination, to put Ipswich back on the map, who helped to attract massive investment in the town.
So even after Ben long ceased to be the MP for Ipswich, his legacy of standing up for Ipswich, lives on. Conservatives put Ipswich first.
