More people are in work than ever before. In Ipswich, the number of people claiming the key out of work benefits has fallen by 1515, this is a 48% drop since 2010.

Employment has increased in the Eastern Region overall, with 3.16m people in work – an increase of around 340,000 people in work since 2010.

We welcome these new figures, which show that unemployment remains at a 40 year low and that the number of young people out of work has fallen by 140 people on average every day under the Conservatives.

Only the Conservatives will continue to take the balanced approach our economy needs to support businesses to create better, higher paying jobs, ensuring our future security and prosperity. Mr Corbyn’s representatives here in Ipswich and beyond have a sole ambition to make residents feel depressed. Their endeavours are failing as we are seeing a record number of people now in work as unemployment continues to fall to record lows. And with wages rising faster than prices, your pay can go further.
