And it wasn't only Bryony Rudkin who failed to answer questions at Full Council.

Carole Jones, Executive member for the economy at Grafton House, stated that 'consultation was undertaken on the principle of a town centre market', in response to a question about consultation on taking the market's management back in house.

The reason the Conservatives changed the management was because, under Labour, the market had declined, being forced onto the former Civic Centre car park. We moved it back to the town centre, where it has thrived ever since, with new stalls and new traders. 

So, consultation with the traders is not important, implies Ms. Jones.
