CONSERVATIVES - BETTER FOR IPSWICH

On 22 May voters in Ipswich will get 2 votes, one for Ipswich Borough Council elections and one for the European Parliament.

If you live in Alexandra Ward, you will have 2 people to vote for since one of your Labour councillors resigned before fulfilling his full 4-year term of office.

For everywhere else, you are electing one of 3 Borough Councillors in your area, which is called a Ward in local government lingo.

You can see details of all your main Ipswich Constituency Conservative candidates and existing councillors here-

http://www.ipswichconservatives.com/people

Conservatives have candidates in every ward and in the Ipswich Constituency these are-

ALEXANDRA       Alex Hopkins (main candidate) and Mark Felix-Thomas (By election)

Ipswich is better under the Conservatives-

BETTER FOR BUSINESS

We will lobby central government to lower business rates, and cut parking charges to support independent shops and small business owners.

BETTER FOR YOU

We will cut the Labour Council’s inflation busting 5.6% rent increase, and lower your council tax – letting hard working residents keep more of your own money.

BETTER FOR OUR TOWN

A Conservative Council will launch Ipswich Tomorrow – an exciting programme to attract new businesses to our town centre.

BETTER FOR ACCESS

We will provide extra funding to fix Ipswich’s pot holes, boost local bus services and improve transport links – to get Ipswich moving.

Ipswich Conservatives have a professional and experienced range of councillors and candidates who are standing for council this year. The present Labour administration has no vision for Ipswich, where house-building has collapsed, council tax & rent is raised every year, and the town gets scruffier, and in which business has lost confidence in this administration.

Only the Conservatives can make a real difference to Ipswich, working alongside our 2 Conservative MPs- Ben Gummer and Dr Dan Poulter who are successfully lobbying government to bring the investment this town deserves.

When it comes to your vote for Europe, you need to elect a team of Conservative MEPs who are the only party promising a re-negotiation of our relationship with the EU. We will then give the British people their say in an in-out referendum by the end of 2017- as David Cameron has made clear he would not be Prime Minister of a government unless it carries out that commitment. Meanwhile, Labour and the Liberal Democrats won’t have a referendum as they believe nothing needs changing and UKIP simply can’t deliver one.  Mr Cameron needs a strong group of Conservative MEPs supporting our plan for this fixing of the relationship, so don’t waste your vote.

VOTE CONSERVATIVE TWICE ON MAY 22ND – TO STAND UP FOR A BETTER IPSWICH AND A STRONG UNITED KINGDOM
