Congratulations Tim Passmore on his election as Police & Crime Commissioner for Suffolk We know this is a big job, but he is the right man for that job. There is a lot of comment about the Chief Constable's decision to leave, but I had a long chat with him yesterday and he was delighted to have a new role with the Probation Board and is looking to having some free time to travel. He's worked hard all his career and is proud to have been Chief Constable in Suffolk, where he will continue to live. He also made it abundantly clear the he supports Tim and will support his successor. Just a reminder of Tim's commitment to working for the people of Suffolk, and that means the whole of Suffolk: - make Suffolk safer- have greater visibility of policing- improve respect for law and order- implement a more robust approach to repeat offenders and drug crime- deal with antisocial behaviour, problem families and domestic violence I also hope Tim will crack down on uninsured drivers.
