Your Councillors at the Newly Agreed Site

The gardens adjacent to Penshurst Road / Arundel Way have been in place for at least 40 years and the roses have started to look dated and colourless. Local residents contacted your Bixley Ward team to see what could be done to rejuvenate the area. A number of options were looked at including replacing the roses with herbaceous plants or brand new rose bushes.

Funding was requested from the North East Committee and councillors agreed that 300 new rose bushes would be planted.

For horticultural reasons, these will have to be placed in new beds and the old ones will turned back to grass. We are pleased to advise that this project will commence imminently.
