Bob Hall, Ben Gummer MP, Kevin Algar, Lee Reynolds and Cllrs Chris and Pam Stewart joined me for an excellent canvassing session in Bixley on Saturday. And we were treated to a rare exception – Labour choosing to spend the morning covering exactly the same territory as us.
You’ve got to admire their pluck, but to be fair they didn’t quite cover quite the same territory. We visited every house – keen to find out about local issues and concerns, whilst they only visited residents that they thought supported them. However, as more than one of my constituents (their supporters?!) was quick to point out, ‘We sent ‘em packing!’
The other thing residents were quick to point out was their appreciation to Cllr Alan Murray for all his hard work - keeping Bixley Buses routes safe!
