Theresa May has launched our manifesto for Britain’s future. It is a manifesto to see us through Brexit and beyond.

The next five years are the most challenging that Britain has faced in many decades. Brexit will define us: our place in the world, our economic security and our future prosperity.

Our manifesto - called Forward, Together – will meet the great challenges of our time, beyond Brexit.

Ben Gummer, our Ipswich Candidate comments:

"The Conservative Party manifesto was launched today. It is first and foremost an explanation of how we can back Theresa May in getting the best deal for Britain in our negotiations with the EU. It is a serious prospectus for government during what will be a crucial five years for our country as we deliver Brexit and decide what kind of nation we would like to be. It does not shy away from the challenges we face but instead offers practical and sustainable solutions to some of the biggest issues that face our country – from the costs of social care to the need to build more homes – so we can emerge from this period of change stronger and more prosperous than before.

"There are things within it that will be extremely positive for us here in Ipswich, including new investment in roads, funding for new primary care buildings, fair funding for schools, and investment for railways and for research. There are also important pledges on litter, homelessness and urban design. I am confident that our town, alongside my ambitions for it, is well-placed to benefit from all of this. The manifesto promises to make our town a more prosperous, exciting and opportunity-filled place. I very much hope to be able to help deliver these benefits if I am re-elected as your MP."

For a plan for a stronger, fairer, more prosperous Britain and a successful Ipswich, vote for BEN GUMMER here in Ipswich on Thursday 8th June.
