Residents in Brunswick Drive, Belvedere and Whitby Road can now breathe a sigh of relief, following intervention by Cllr. Judy Terry and Chris Chambers, the owners of the Garages have cleared it of tyres, asbestos and chemicals.

Judy went to see the owners, following six months of inaction by the Council, which had designated it an 'untidy site' instead of a potentially hazardous site. Chris and Judy want to thank the owners for responding and securing the site.

Labour decided the long process of court action was the only option, however thanks to Cllr Terry's intervention the owners have now cleared the site of all waste.
