Hospital Parking
Hospital Parking

At last, following strong demands by Cllrs Carnall and Stroet at the last North East Area Committee meeting, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Executive Andrew Reed has confirmed that quarterly meetings with local councillors and Ben Gummer MP will now take place. You can be assured that we will be pressing for answers to the hospital parking problems on your behalf.

The increased hospital charges – for both staff and visitors – has seen surrounding streets become the cheap option. As councillors, we are committed to discuss any possible solution that helps to alleviate the problem, but in the end the problems caused need to be dealt with ‘at source’.

One piece of good news is that work is well underway demolishing Minsmere House. This will provide up to 180 parking spaces and, with any luck, a positive outcome for Bixley residents.
